Event Letter from the Principal Graduation Ceremony Thursday, 6/6/24 at 6pm. Rain Date: 6/7/24 at 6pm Location : MHS Football field. Start time : Ceremony starts at 6:00pm sharp. Seating will be reserved so no need to arrive any earlier than 5:15pm. Everyone should plan to be seated by 5:55pm so we can begin on time. Seating : Each student has reserved seating for up to 8 guests. Seating is drawn by lottery and set up in parties of 8, labeled with your student’s last name. We are unable to accommodate requests for additional tickets or special seating. If you wish to have additional guests beyond your allotted 8, there will be designated areas of overflow seating in the bleachers and on the grass. We recommend you bring a chair or blanket for the overflow areas. Click on the link for the Graduation Seating Chart . Parking - Carpooling is encouraged as parking will be limited at the High School. Additional parking will be available in the Town Hall and CFB parking lots. LiveStream - More information to follow as we get closer to Graduation. Graduation Practice - MANDATORY Tuesday, June 4th & Wednesday, June 5th @ 10am-12pm - Football Field Attendance is mandatory. If a student is unable to attend both practices, please contact Mrs. Bedard in the Main Office prior to the 1st practice. Caps, gowns and school records will be distributed at practice. There is no charge for the cap & gown. However, if a student owes an obligation to the school such as a senior survey, Chromebook, charger, textbooks, athletic uniform, etc. they will not receive their cap and gown until the obligation is fulfilled. Students will be advised by the 1st practice if they have any such obligations. We’ve started collecting school issued Chromebooks and chargers for those seniors who have their own devices. For those still using their school devices, they are welcome to hang onto the device until classes, AP exams, and senior projects are completed. However, all school issued equipment must be returned, charged and in good working order before the 1st graduation practice. ~ Senior Events & Activities ~ AP EXAMS - Monday, May 6th through Friday, May 17th Students will take the majority of their exams at the Millis Public Library . A few exams will be given at Millis High School. Please reach out to your student’s AP teachers with any questions. SENIORS LAST DAY BEFORE SENIOR PROJECTS - Friday, May 17th This is the last day of senior classes. Class Advisors, Mr. Bigelow and Mr. Carter, are planning some fun activities to celebrate the students’ last day at MHS before senior projects begin. This is a 1/2 day, with a 10:55am dismissal. The day will culminate with a final class walk through the halls of CFB/MMS/MHS before everyone heads off to get ready for prom. JUNIOR/SENIOR PROM - Friday, May 17th - 6:00-10:00pm The Prom will be held at the Grandview in Mendon. Please reach out to your Class Officers or Class Advisors, Mr. Bigelow & Mr. Carter, or to the Junior Class Advisor, Mrs. Hayden, with any Prom related questions. SENIOR PROJECT PRESENTATIONS - Monday, May 20th through Friday, May 24th All presentations will be held in the Roche Bros. Community Room at the Millis Public Library and are open to the public. We are hoping to capture presentations on video for families and friends to view. We will share information on how/where to view the videos as it becomes available. SENIOR EVENTS - Tuesday, May 28th through Friday, May 31st All senior activities are decided upon and run by the Senior class. An activity schedule will be sent to the students detailing the events, dates and times in the upcoming weeks. Please reach out to Mr. Bigelow or Mr. Carter, with questions. 5th ANNUAL SENIOR ROLLING RALLY THROUGH MILLIS - Friday, May 31st This year’s Rolling Rally will be on Friday, May 31. It will start at 6pm. Participation in the Rolling Rally itself is for members of the MHS Class of 2024 and their immediate families. Students will be escorted around town, in style, by the Millis police and fire departments. Parents are welcome (and encouraged) to be chauffeurs so students can give full attention to the many fans lined along the parade route. More details/procotols will be shared as we get closer to the event. The fire department will be setting up a bonfire at the school to be lit following the parade. SENIOR COOKOUT - Tuesday, June 4th at 12:30pm - Football field A senior cookout will be held after graduation practice on the football field. CLASS DAY - Wednesday, June 5th at 12:30pm - Football field We will host a Class Day for our seniors following graduation practice. This will be an informal ceremony allowing our faculty and staff to recognize their achievements over the years. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the auditorium.
